The Deans and Volunteers for each session will report to Camp Weed for a 3:00 meeting with the camp staff the day prior to the beginning session date.  This is a time for the Deans to explain their program and to incorporate the staff into skits, small groups, or special program ideas/plans.

 

NEW SESSIONS 

OUTPOST CAMPING                    June 22-26          Rising 8th- 9th Grades

The Outpost Campers will spend their first and last nights of camp in cabins.  The first day will be spent preparing for their camping adventure.  The campsite selected will be on camp property.  Campers will enjoy the beauty of the out-of-doors and the camaraderie of doing something special.   They will be able to participate in some camp activities, but most of their experience will revolve around the campsite and camping skills.  They will prepare some of their meals over a campfire. 

ADVENTURE CAMP            July 26-30             Rising 10th - 12th Grades       Campers will spend their first day and night in camp.  Early on the second day, the campers will begin a canoe trip on the Suwannee River.  There are beautiful springs  and parks along the river for swimming and enjoying a relaxed lunch.  Nights will be spent in prearranged parks with facilities for camping.  Camp will be in touch with the Adventures several times a day. Lifeguards will be on this trip.
